PCA & CFSS Service client responsibilities
- Manage the process of recruiting, hiring, and training your caregivers.
- Ensure a back-up caregiver is available when needed.
- Manage daily supervision and coordinate shifts for caregivers.
- Track and assess the effectiveness of your PCA staff.
- Keep detailed records of all PCA tasks and services provided.
- Review and approve PCA timesheets for accuracy.

PCA & CFSS caregiver qualifications
- Deliver only the approved care tasks outlined in the client’s care plan.
- Clear a criminal background check and obtain a PCA provider number from the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
- Agree to sign a written agreement with the client and PCA Choice provider detailing all roles and responsibilities.
- Adhere to all state laws and regulations governing PCA services.
- Be 18 years old, or be 16 or 17 years old with additional training
